Rijkaard and Guardiola: links round-up

I was going to write a long post about recent events at Barca, but then I read Phil Ball's latest column and agreed with pretty much everything he said, so I'm just going to link to it. I will be writing a tribute to 'Frankie' later - how could I not? - but for now, here's a collection of some of the interesting fall-out and commentary surrounding the change of staff.

[I have been incredibly busy with uni this year, hence the lack of updates. My apologies. But I just couldn't ignore this.]

Welcome back! - shame it couldn't be in better circumstances. I had the same issues with time a while back, but it's definitely worth trying to get your thoughts out from time to time, so keep on trying!

Thanks, Gonzalo!

I admit, this season has been pretty depressing. But us football fans always believe in the light at the end of the tunnel, right? :)

Happy to see you!!!

Ahhhh, the uni, that wonderful world never comes back. Not to be the first always is a huge failure, and sometimes be the first is not enough (if not, ask Robson...). Anyway, Chelsea bet for continuing with the entire same block, sometimes, one won and other lose with the same way. That's show us there is not any magic wand, either there is and there will no be. Rijaard was a maximum risk bet with these players, Jan must have been cold: sell Ronny, bye-bye Frank, and... but writing now these is so easy, talk is cheap!!!!

Albert: in hindsight it seems pretty clear that we should have sold Ronaldinho earlier, but not too many people would have dared say that at the end of last season. I for one held out hope for him to come good again almost right up until the end.

But who knows what's going to happen now?
